We have tried to keep our Terms & Conditions as simple and as straightforward as possible and we would request that you are familiar with these terms before placing an order on our website.
If you are paying by credit or debit card, then we will not charge your card until your order is ready to be despatched. All prices on our site are displayed in UK Pounds Sterling (currency code GBP) and include VAT where applicable. All goods remain the property of dotdismus.com until fully paid for.
By placing an order on this site, you are agreeing to these terms & conditions. None of these terms or conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Order Confirmation |
When placing an order on our website, you will be able to see the total order value
(in UK Pounds Sterling) and all order details (including shipping charges) before you confirm your order.
Immediately after you have submitted your order, an Order Confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you have entered on your order.
This Order Confirmation contains the details of your order including your
order reference number, your name and address details
and your total order value.
Note: Please check your Order Confirmation e-mail and contact us immediately if any of your order details are incorrect.
Please keep your order reference number handy for any future contact with us regarding your order.

Delivery |
|
We aim to despatch your goods to you as fast as possible. This is normally within
1 to 5 working days. Most of our orders are despatched within this timescale.
Our standard method of despatch for UK orders is by Royal Mail post (we may use
Royal Mail Standard Parcels Service or any other suitable courier for orders in excess of 2kg in weight).
All non-UK orders are sent by Airmail.
From time to time, your music may be out of print or out of stock at our suppliers. If this is the case, we will inform you of this via e-mail
or telephone and will give you a revised estimated delivery time,
if available. You may, of course, cancel your order at any point if this revised delivery time is unacceptable.

Fastway Courier Delivery
Service |
Following the recent Royal Mail postal strikes in the UK, we have decided
to offer our customers an optional alternative delivery option via Fastway Couriers, available for £4.95 (incl. VAT) per order.
We feel that this option represents a good alternative to using Royal
Mail standard post at an attractive price for door-to-door Mainland UK Courier Service
delivery within 1-2 days from the date of despatch.
To select this delivery option, just select "UK (Mainland): Fastway Courier" as the delivery option in the shopping cart when
completing the checkout process for your order.
Please Note:
1) The Fastway Courier Delivery Service is only available to deliveries
made within Mainland UK which excludes Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Western
Isles, Argylle & Bute, Scilly Isles, North Ayrshire, Orkneys, Shetlands,
Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
2) The Fastway Courier Delivery Service is only available on orders paid
for in full by Credit/Debit card at the time of placing your order. We
regret that we cannot process requests for the Fastway Courier Delivery
Service where the invoice is payable upon receipt (in which case,
the delivery method will revert to Royal Mail at our standard rates).
3) The Fastway Courier Delivery Service charge of £4.95 (incl. VAT) is
Non-Refundable.
4) The Fastway Courier Delivery Service is optional and is not mandatory
- if you decide that you do not require this service, then your order
will be sent by Royal Mail as standard.
5) We reserve the right to substitute the Fastway
Courier Delivery Service for an alternative courier offering the same
level of service (for example, DHL or Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day) where this
delivery option is deemed to be a quicker delivery method or owing to
reasons beyond our control (for example, if Fastway Couriers are unable
to make a collection from us on any particular day).
6) Once your order has been passed to the appropriate courier for
delivery, we cannot be held responsible for any delays which may result
due to situations beyond our control.

Payments |
If you are paying by credit or debit card, your card will not be charged
until your order is ready to be despatched. In the unfortunate event
that your card payment is declined, we will contact you via e-mail (to
request that you contact us with your new or alternative card details)
or by telephone (to verify your card details with you). Following a
declined payment, we reserve the right to re-attempt to take payment on
your card for a period of up to one week (or until your payment is
successful), unless we hear from you otherwise. If after one week your
payment is still unsuccessful, then your order will be cancelled.
If you are a UK school and have selected the "UK School Purchase Order"
pay on receipt option, then we will normally send you an invoice with
your order for you to pass on for payment (unless you have specifically
requested that we post your invoice separately to an alternative
address). Our payment terms are 30 days from the invoice date and we
expect all invoices to be paid in full by the last day of the month
following your invoice date.
Please Note: We understand and will exercise our statutory right to
claim interest and compensation for debt recovery costs under the late
payment legislation if we are not paid according to the above agreed
credit terms.

Receipts |
If you are paying by credit or debit card, then we will send you a 'paid with
thanks' invoice once your payment has been processed (this is normally
included in with your order).
Alternatively, copies of receipted invoices may be requested from us by
e-mailing your request, along with your account or order details, to
finance@dotdismus.com.

Cancellations & Returns |
If you wish to cancel your order, then please contact us immediately on 01384 355725 or send
us an
e-mail
with your order confirmation number so that we can cancel your order before despatch.
If you decide to cancel after we have despatched your order, you can still do so (in line with the Distance Selling Regulations) within a 7 day cooling off period
(* see note below regarding CDs),
providing the goods are unused and are in perfect condition (i.e. the
condition you received them in). Please note that this 7 day period starts the day after you receive your goods.
For schools and colleges, we've automatically extended this period to 14
days as we know 7 days isn't normally long enough. All that we ask is
that you send the items back to us as soon as possible within this
period.
You are responsible for posting the items back to us
and you are liable for the return postage costs. We can't come
and collect and we do not operate a pre-paid Returns Label
system.
* PLEASE NOTE: In compliance with copyright law, CDs are NOT returnable
to us if the cellophane seal has been broken. When considering
purchasing CDs, please listen to the soundclips provided on our website
first, in order to help you decide which products you would like to
purchase on a firm order.
Returns can be made using the original packaging we sent you, if
possible, but please make sure
of the following:
- A copy of the invoice (or a brief note stating your account
number or order confirmation number) with your reason for return is
included inside the package, otherwise we will be unable to process
your refund as we won't know who sent the music back.
- Please package the items securely and mark ‘Please Do Not Bend’
on the package, addressing this to our 40 Greyhound Lane
address below (this is our despatch & returns office).

- The correct postage is paid. If not, the Post Office will just
send it back to you again, further delaying your refund.
If you still have any unpaid items outstanding on your invoice, a
revised invoice will be posted to you automatically upon receipt of your
returned items - this invoice replaces the original invoice sent to you
and becomes payable immediately.
In the case of damaged goods or a mistake on our behalf, we will refund the postage charges incurred by you (please try and re-use the original packaging wherever possible). Notifying us of the return will also help us to arrange a replacement for you to minimise the delay in fulfilling your order.
We do not charge you a cancellation or re-stocking charge.

Refunds |
|
Please let us know if you would prefer us to apply a credit on your next order or send you a refund payment. Refund payments will be made to you within 30 days of us having receiving the returned goods from you.
Please note that if you do not return the goods, a deduction will be made from the refund to cover the direct cost incurred by us for collecting the goods ourselves.
