Based on the wondrous, classic tales of the 1001 Arabian Nights, this stunning and dramatic musical tells of Scheherazade and the stories she must tell the King to save her own life and the lives of many other women.
1001 stories were told but this show concentrates on four of them in detail, offering a rich mix of songs, drama, dance, characters and costume. Contains the full score as well as the entire script and stage directions. Suitable for ages 8-12.
This is a versatile and flexible production with several optional opportunities for dance, varying class sizes and different ability levels catered for. The 2 CDs provide full vocal demonstrations, instrumental backings and sound effects.

'I am just writing to say how much we enjoyed performing 'Scheherazade' last week with the children. The musical was a great success. The music virtually taught itself, as it was so tuneful and catchy the children just warmed to it immediately. The play lent itself to providing drama opportunities for everyone in our school drama club. The feedback from the children and parents has been tremendous - it has been one of the most successful musicals we have performed.'
