The True Saint Nicolas is a 20 minute cantata with 6 songs for mixed voices (SATB) and Children's Choir, commissioned in 2016 by St Nicolas Church Pevensey to mark its 800th anniversary.

The concept is a children's quest to discover the true identity of Santa Claus. The adults lead them through a series of tales about miraculous events attributed to Saint Nicolas - some of which seem less likely to be true than others! Ultimately, the children recognise a link between the generosity of Santa Claus and the character of the true Saint Nicolas.

The piece was first performed by Hailsham Choral Society, with children from Pevensey & Westham Primary School.

The Director's Book is comb-bound and includes notes, libretto/lyrics and music score. Also available is a Rehearsal CD with full vocal demonstrations that is perfect for easy teaching. For ages 9 and upwards years.
