Little Lost Kitten - By Caroline Hoile
A fanciful story for Christmas time with seven songs. A full performance will include music, mime, movement and dance. Speaking parts may be given as appropriate.
It was Christmas Eve and the frost air was cold and still. The house where the kittens lived was snug and warm. In a twinkling of an eye everything changed. One little kitten dashed out into the night through the unexpectedly opened front door. The search for the lost kitten takes us outside, where we encounter sneaky jumping mice, howling alley cats, snuffling hedgehogs and quacking ducks. In the end, all is happily resolved!
The characters include Mabel the Mother Cat, Four Kittens, Mice, Alley Cats, Hedgehogs, Ducks and Snowmen.
The story comprises mainly of narration interspersed with songs, although speaking parts may be given to individual children or groups, if required.
The Teacher’s Book contains everything you need to stage the performance including the story, song words, music and production notes (there is no separate script booklet for this one).
A matching cassette tape of the music for rehearsals and performances is available (side A with the vocals included, side B with the vocals omitted).
Suitable for children aged 4 to 7 years (Key Stage 1) and also for Pre-School groups and Special Education Units.
As an alternative to using the cassette tape, professionally recorded demonstration and backing tracks are also available to purchase and download via this link here.
