Harvest comes very soon into the new school year, meaning there is not much time to plan a service or assembly. This ready-made harvest celebration is based around the story of Johnny Appleseed, a true story about a man called John Chapman who travelled across the land planting apple seeds.

It is a musical telling of the story which also includes rhyming narration for the children to read. The songs are straightforward and easy to learn and suit a variety of ages, making them suitable for both primary and infant schools. The book also contains the piano/vocal score, along with a CD containing both vocal and backing tracks.

As with all musical performances, a Performance Licence from Kevin Mayhew Ltd will be required if you decide to stage this musical. As a general guideline, performance licence fees usually range between £22 to £30 (plus VAT) for the first performance, irrespective of whether or not you charge the audience.
